In just one month, Jackie Chan has been swarmed with various controversies ranging from his opinion about protests, carrying arms and his inheritance issues. This time, it is about an alleged charity fraud.

As reported on Groove Asia, on 24 December, Chinese columnist, Zhou Xiaoyun claimed that the China Charities Aid Foundation for Children (CCAFC) latest financial statement indicated that it had transferred CNY 18 million out of the CNY 19 million (App. USD 3,047,164) allocated for programmes to help abducted children, to the Jackie Chan Charitable Foundation Beijing (JCCFB).

It was then alleged that the amount was used to fund JCCFB's campaign to help children with serious illnesses instead.

The information triggered a lot of enquiries regarding the purpose of the transfer. Zhou claimed that he believed the transfer was to benefit JCCFB staff who allegedly took 10 percent off for management fees.

The "CZ12" actor however denied the allegations via his micro blog, stating, "My charitable foundation does not charge any management fees. All operating costs are borne by me alone."

The actor continued, "I hope that one would present any evidence before making any conclusions, or else these allegations will cause people to back down from giving to charity."

The actor also firmly concluded that individuals who use charity organizations for personal gain should be arrested.
